The key to control is monitoring performance. The key to improvement is demonstration of relative performance and sharing of information.
Over the past twenty years, APG has demonstrated time and time again that the key element in any multi-facility QA program is a sound PT program designed to monitor, control, and improve performance. Evaluate every lab at the same time on the same samples and evaluate performance confidentially without fear of exposure or criticism. Track performance over time and across facilities, between groups of facilities, or even groups of managers.
In the area of corporate QA programs, custom is common, and probably necessary to insure a challenging, dynamic, and valid control program. APG has experience designing monitoring programs for the chemical, primary metals, automotive, electric utility, and the pulp and paper industries. We currently operate PT programs for several state regulatory agencies.
This is an area where experience counts because the first time customization is expensive, the second time it’s routine. From complex unique statistical analysis to multi-level multi-color graphical trend reports, identifing problems and verifying resolutions, APG can help you design the report you didn’t know was possible to resolve the problem you couldn’t solve.
As a final tool for corporate managers, APG has developed an Independent Evaluation of Quality Assurance that can be used to demonstrate your historic performance over time to both upper management or potential customers. The report includes not only a statistical evaluation of PT data but a relative Benchmarking of that performance against more than 3,000 other laboratories nationwide.
