Simplifying Solids
Tips to Improve Your Solids Analysis
Two of the most common analytical methods used in wastewater
and drinking water analysis are total dissolved solids, TDS,
and total suspended solids, TSS. While these analytical
methods are easy to understand and require very little
instrumentation, they are technique sensitive. This article
explores the background of solids analysis and suggests some
tips to ensure more accurate and precise measurement of
solids.

Marketing Your Laboratory's Quality
Laboratory of Excellence Program
APG recently began a new program to recognize laboratories that
pass 100% of their analytes in a PT Study by awarding them a
Laboratory of Excellence Certificate. The personalized Laboratory
of Excellence Certificate lists your organization's name, APG's Laboratory of
Excellence Seal and the analytes that you passed. This is great
recognition for your laboratory when a client, state officer or
upper management notices it. The Laboratory of Excellence Certificate
is also a valuable sales tool when your Laboratory of Excellence
status is promoted by your marketing department.
If your lab has been awarded a Laboratory of Excellence Certificate
and would like to display the logo on your website, please send
us an email at
excellence@apgqa.com. We will provide you with a
personalized graphic that can be used on your website, or other
promotional materials.
