4th Quarter PowerCheck Study
Begins December 1

Article written by Nathan Moore, Sales, Analytical Products Group, Inc.

Complete article from Edition 22 APG eNewsletter

During the month of December, APG is conducting its second PowerCheck proficiency testing program of 2004. After gathering feedback from networks across the country, a list of common analytes has been developed and implemented for use in evaluating the performance of online analyzers and wet chemical analysis techniques used to monitor the cycle chemistry operations of a power generating station. To view the list of analytes and their associated concentration ranges, click here.

Whether validating the use of online analyzers, confirming the training of chemists and technicians, or verifying the performance of wet methods, the PowerCheck program can assist you and your laboratories in making sound decisions based on the data that is generated. By establishing confidence in your data and determining the associated uncertainties, a chemist can make an educated decision on when to change critical operating parameters.

If there are analytes that you currently monitor that aren’t listed, or to receive more information regarding the PowerCheck program, please email us at power@apgqa.com.
