It is hard to believe that it is once again the holiday season and time to reflect on the past year and think about the
upcoming year. In this month's article I will discuss some of the highpoints at APG this year and in next month’s article I
will explain our plans for next year.
In January we concluded our discussion with NMi (the NIST like organization in the Netherlands) to represent APG in Europe.
NMi brings technical expertise to APG in the European market in the area of certified reference materials and in gas matrix.
The combination of APG’s strength in environmental proficiency testing combined with NMi’s strengths has been very beneficial
to the European market.
In March at Pittcon we introduced two new products; Advantage Reporting and Advantage Training Verification. These two
products were the results of listening to you, our customers, and finding out what hassles you. These products have been well
received. Thank you. If you have not participated in a web seminar please contact us.
In July we introduced our Soils PT line for hazardous waste and UST programs. With the addition of soils, our customers
were able to participate and take advantage of Advantage Reporting and training for wastewater, drinking water, micro and
soils. We are very pleased with the growth rate of this program.
In September we visited China and Taiwan giving presentations to industry, private laboratory and government officials
concerning accreditation in the United States. The trip was interesting and supported our Asian presence.
In October we introduced our new expanded line of state specific PTs. Our technical and marketing departments have investigated
various state programs to ensure we have compliant samples available to support these programs. By completing
the state specific product line, APG is truly a "one stop shop" for your PT needs.
I would like to thank all of you who I have visited this year, met by phone or participated in a web seminar. Your input is
the key to our innovation. Next month I will outline how we plan to continue to change to support your ever changing requirements.
