If you are a permittee participating in DMRQA Study 23, take a minute or
two and make sure you know the answers to the following questions.
-
Have you notified your contract lab that you will need
data results for DMRQA Study 23?
Do not assume your contract lab knows that you need DMRQA
data this year because you requested it last year.
Notify your contract lab that you will need DMRQA results
for analytes they regularly analyze for your NPDES Permit.
-
Approximately when should you expect your contract lab to
provide you with DMRQA data to review?
Your contract laboratory should provide you "satisfactory" time to
review and report the DMRQA results to the provider by
the scheduled due date. You should consider your relationship
with your contract lab and communicate your expectations to them.
-
By what date will you be required to report your contract lab data
to the provider that manufactured the samples?
There are several different due dates that meet DMRQA requirements.
Do not assume that your contract lab has the same due date as you
(even if they are using the same provider as you). When you receive
DMRQA data from a contract lab, review it immediately. Note the due
dates on the forms and take a moment to make sure you have all the
paperwork necessary to report your data.
