Drinking Water Issues The Federal Register Notice of January 4, 2006 contained some provisions that became effective April 1, 2007. Many laboratories may have missed these new requirements. The requirements are part of 40 CFR Part 141.131 (b)(2)(iv) and state the following:

APG's DMRQA Forms We just celebrated the midpoint of DMRQA 27. What does that mean? Not much. But reporting is a little easier this year thanks to new reporting forms at APGQA.com. The EPA Forms that NPDES permit holders must mail to their DMRQA coordinator are now completed automatically when data is entered online.

The Problem with NELAC The NELAC Institute (TNI) was established to assist the old NELAC in becoming self-sufficient. It was felt that a new non-profit consensus development organization was needed to replace NELAC which during its last reincarnation was an organization of States and Federal agencies. However, there may be even more legal issues with the new TNI structure than with the old NELAC.
