We just celebrated the midpoint of DMRQA 27. What does that mean? Not much. But reporting is a little easier this year thanks to new reporting forms at APGQA.com. The EPA Forms that NPDES permit holders must mail to their DMRQA coordinator are now completed automatically when data is entered online. Everything that must be mailed is assembled in a single PDF and emailed to the NPDES permit holder. Simply review it, sign it, and mail it to your DMRQA coordinator.
Paperwork, what Paperwork?
The DMRQA Announcement Letter requires NPDES permit holders to return their PT data to their PT provider. It also states that NPDES permit holders must complete the DMRQA Permittee Data Returns Form and send a copy of the forms and the data to their DMRQA coordinator prior to the study close. In the past, NPDES permit holders had to print these blank forms and fill-in the blanks. This year APG has automated the process, and the DMRQA Permittee Data Return forms are automatically filled-in and emailed with the data confirmation. All that an NPDES permit holder has to do is print the email confirmation that they receive after entering their data at APGQA.com, and mail it to their DMRQA coordinator. An example of an NPDES Permit holder confirmation can be found by clicking on this link. The first page is an introduction and the second page provides the contact information for the relevant state/regional DMRQA coordinators. Pages 3-5 are the actual confirmation of the data, page 6 is the permittee checklist, and pages 7-9 are the completed DMRQA Permittee Data Return Form from the Announcement Letter. Simply review the forms, sign them and mail them to your DMRQA coordinator. There is no need to mail anything to APG when data is entered at APGQA.com.
Contract Laboratories
Contract labs can also use APGQA.com data reporting packages to make their responsibilities easier for DMRQA. Once a contract lab enters data online, they can create DMRQA Reporting Packages for permit holders. It is a simple two-step process. First locate the NPDES Permit holder from the APGQA.com database. Then, select the analytes to relay. The data reporting package will appear on the screen as a printable PDF and will also be emailed to the contract lab. The contract lab can then forward the package by email, mail or fax to NPDES permit holders to fulfill their responsibilities. Contract labs can make as many packages as they need. An example of a contract lab data reporting package can be found by clicking on this link.
