APG would like to thank the labs that reported data to us for DMRQA
Study 23. APG offered four studies that met DMRQA requirements. The last
of our DMRQA eligible studies closed on August 29th, as required by
the US EPA.
Reports
The DMRQA Study 23 Announcement Letter states that "Test Results
will be sent to permittees and state and Regional NPDES
Permit Authorities" by October 31st, 2003. This means that
APG is required to have results to you no later than October 31st.
All Analytes Were Acceptable
If all of your results are graded as acceptable (check for error is
considered acceptable), you have completed your DMRQA requirement.
Get a head start on next
year by reserving samples for DMRQA Study 24.
Order without risk, APG guarantees
that your samples will shipped in accordance with US EPA requirements
for DMRQA Study 24. You will not be invoiced or billed until samples
ship next spring.
Unacceptable Parameters - The Next Step
The US EPA DMRQA Study 23 Announcement Letter states, "If any data are
reported as not acceptable negotiate any corrective actions with
the State or Regional NPDES Permit Regulatory Authority and submit
a signed corrective action report" by December 8th, 2003.
This means that you must perform a corrective action by December 8th. The
process and requirements for corrective action vary widely from state to
state.
Individual State Requirements
Each state independently determines how they will handle DMRQA
remediation. APG has been in contact with many of the
State
and Regional DMRQA Coordinators regarding their particular
requirements. APG would be happy to assist you in determining
your DMRQA remediation needs. Contact customer service with

Increase Confidence
The perfect tool for trouble shooting unacceptable results is
a quality control sample. APG's quality control samples are analyzed
as part of an inter-laboratory study so you have
confidence in the results. Use quality control samples to verify
the effectiveness of any change in procedure or corrective action.
Quality control samples are shipped with a certificate of analysis
that includes the true value and acceptance range.
